Disappointing Experience !

One of the major challenging tasks during festive times is booking a Train ticket in order to plan your travel. That too during Diwali , one of the important festivals of the year its very difficult to get a ticket in Bus as well.

To plan my travel in advance I had tried to book a ticket on 18th July 2009 itself. This was the day on which ticket bookings opened for Diwali. Since I logged on to booking website 30mins late the bookings from Bangalore city to Trichy was over by that time. I was not permitted to book a ticket. So I cleverly booked a ticket in Mysore Quota which is from Maddur to Trichy. Maddur is a station just one before Bangalore City railway station. When I received the ticket I got an additional information in my email from railways saying "For CHANGE OF BOARDING STATION & CHANGE IN NAME customer can now approach the nearest Railway Reservation Office with the Electronic Reservation Slip print out and photo identity proof mentioned in the Electronic Reservation Slip at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of train as per existing Railway rules."

As per this information , I started today for taking printout of my ticket from Maddur to Trichy. The Internet center uncle charged me browsing charges for taking just a printout from website for 2 mins. After that with high hopes proceeded to railway reservation counter available in BDA complex , Koramangala.

There were totally 5 counters and I was happy that the average queue length of all the counters was just one person per queue. I approached the third counter with a high hope that I can get this work done in 5 mins. The employee who takes care of the reservation in that counter was about 40 years old. I explained him my query clearly. He told its impossible to change the boarding point from Maddur to Bangalore city. I had provided him with the e-ticket printout and my driving license proof. I got totally disappointed with the way he replied to me. I was told Bangalore quota and Mysore quota are different. He can't change the boarding point from Mysore quota station (Maddur) to Bangalore quota station (Bangalore Cantonment)

From the counter itself I called up customer care of indian railways and explained them my query. I got surprised by the reply I got from them. I was told that I can reach out to any computerized reservation center and request the chief reservation officer for changing the boarding point. So I asked the uncle over the reservation counter I wish to meet the chief reservation officer of that center. He told he is not available. The chief reservation officer of that center might have assumed Saturdays are holiday to him probably.

My second query was whether I can change the name of the additional person traveling with me. He told its impossible to edit the name as well. I guess he was not in a mood to work on a saturday evening. I didn't give up even at that point. I again called up customer care and asked the second query whether I can change the name of the additional person traveling with me. The reply was if the additional person is a blood relation to me , I can change their name. After the call was done again I asked the uncle over the reservation counter , Is it possible to change the name ? He was watching and listening to the conversation I had with the customer care executive. Finally , I gave up and came out of the reservation center.It was a totally disappointing experience to me.

If we book a TATKAL ticket and cancel it , we can't get complete refund. Imagine if someone forgets to change the boarding point at the time of booking. They are gone if they need to meet a chief reservation officer ! Because these Govt officers are unavailable most of the times. They might be busy with their personal work which is more important to them during official hours.

On the other side of the coin , these railway reservation counter employees might change the boarding point / name for an agent for a financial advantage to them. They will also help to their friends and relatives.

Never believe a government policy completely ! You might get disappointed completely . If we wish to get some work done in Government Offices , we still need to know someone in that office. The only way is you should be in a position to afford some additional money which will add to their secondary account with unique PAN no with complete Tax exemption.

Square Root Day

In every calender year we use to celebrate many special DAYs..

But day before yesterday (3rd March 2009 (or) 03/03/09 ) was "Square Root Day".

"Square Root Day" is a peculiar day.. Because unlike other special days this won't come in every calender year.

Logically "Square Root Day" occurs only nine times in each century.

For the 21st Century already 3 such days are gone

I don't know about the predictions made by astrologers on this day.

Probably some one may say

If you are born on Square root day then some crap they will say

Jokes apart.. How long are we planning to believe these things ??

My Intention is not to hurt the values and beliefs of people .

But we should believe in things which have proper justifications. Have you ever tried questioning / challenging such things ??

From my view , Square Root Day has got a Mathematical Significance. I love that pattern.

Apart from that whatever happens to a person on any day , it highly depends on his/her efforts. If we have positive attitude , planning and focus on the "goal post" we can achieve things !!

OSCAR - The Road ahead of A.R.Rahman

A.R.Rahman - Allah Rakha Rahman @ A.S. Dileep Kumar

If there is a way to describe the shape of music in 21st century , I would say Rahman has got a significant part in describing it !! They say music is a gift . It comes by some instinct . But for people like A.R.Rahman its in their blood.

The world heard of this music director's name through the great Indian Film Director , Manirathnam in the form of the Tamil Movie ROJA. A.R.Rahman gave a big blockbuster at his first shot. Since Manirathnam chose ARR for ROJA, ARR is having this tremendous career in Music . Its tough to identify the talent in ourselves . But the story behind this fantastic music director is very motivating .

ARR's father Late K.A. Sekhar, was a famous musician , conductor and arranger in malyalam movie industry . His father had been a direct and indirect motivation for his musical career . Everyone will have a positive or negative impact through their father at their early ages . Believe me ARR was able to play harmonium (a musical instrument) with its keys covered by a cloth.Many musicians / Gurus had astonished at his amazing talent . Every successful person must be having a tough past history. Unfortunately Dileep had lost his father at the age of 9 .

After that Dileep entered Illayaraja's Music Troop as a Keyboard Player at the age of 11 . His mother (Kasturi) had encouraged Dileep to pursue muscial education . He joined in one of the prestigious institutions of Chennai. Due to some reasons unfortunately Dileep was a drop out from some of the famous institutions at chennai.

But still his musical thirst did nt come down . He was playing keyboard for some of the famous musical symbols of indian soil such as M.S.Viswanathan , Zakir Hussain , Kunnakudi Vydhyanathan etc., Illyaraja , The Mastero had an significant impact in his musical career . Illaiyaraja had changed many of his perceptions . From my view indirectly many senior people in the industry have a significant impact in shaping up our career . In Indian Culture they use to call it as "The impact of Guru"

After that Dileep became AR Rahman. At one point of time everyone takes a bold decision of their own . Though there are still lots of mediocre about Dileep becoming AR Rahman , he never cares about them . The problem with this country is people are not in a position to differentiate between industry image and personal life.

AR Rahman started delivering his best in commercial Ads . Some of his well known master pieces are Leo Coffee, Boost (Secret of Master Blaster's energy ) , TITAN etc., It was these master pieces which identified the talent in him. Believe me AR Rahman got introduced to Manirathnam at an award function . It was the BEST COMMERCIAL ADs award for his Leo Coffee Ad .

AR Rahman entered as a music director into the industry in 1992 for the tamil film ROJA . He started bagging lots of awards for his innovative work . AR Rahman had played a significant role in bringing out quality musical track output to the end album . Of course Audio Engineering VETRAN Late Sridhar sir must be a strong reason for that.

Apart from seeing music as a profession he had added more value to it by delivering inspiring albums like

VANDE MATRAM ,
ROJA (TAMILAH TAMILAH) ,
BOMBAY (ITHU ENGAL BARATHAM) ,
DIL SE RE ,
LAGAAN ,
KANNATHIL MUTHAMITTAL (VELLAI POOKAL),

We can realize the message through the depth of ARR's voice in those songs . Thanks ARR !! You should continue to deliver your best !!

The inspirational thing about ARR is that he also helps the society by involving into various NGO's . Some of the significant awards ARR had bagged so far are Golden Globe Award , Padmashri , National Film Award , National Lata Mangeshkar Award, Kaliamamani Award etc.,

The road ahead of AR Rahman in still long . Golden Globe & Padmashri are not enough to felicitate this great musical symbol of the country . The most peculiar aspect of AR Rahman till date is his originality in the music . He acts as a perfect example for the entire music industry to deliver quality own compositions through their innovations .

AR Rahman should continue to compose inspirational albums will address many international problems such as WAR AGAINST TERROR , GLOBAL WARMING etc., All of us should feel proud to live on a soil which had produced this talented Music Director .

GOLDEN GLOBE IS NOT ENOUGH ..

STUDENTS UNION

Students Union : A Body that Represents Students in an institution.

Hi.. If at all I need to love any of my posts I would say it should be this post.

Through this post I want to make a clear view to many people about what Students Union of PSG Tech (an engineering institution in Coimbatore,South India).

Students Union of PSG College of Technology has got many well defined portfolios . As of 25th June 2008 it comprises of 10 Office Bearers representing all students of PSG Tech . It has got many associated clubs and Technical Associations.

This Post is titled as " SU Rockzz ". Its my favorite style of representing SU .. So far I have briefly tried to explain about SU @ PSG Tech. Probably somebody else may be able to brief it in a ""professional manner"". But the primary aim of this post is not to define it by words. Its actually about how to realize what is Students Union.

SU is the largest body through which all the Students can be binded into a single entity. If something has to reach through a larger mass of people means it has to come under its banner. Realization of Students Union needs no special qualifications or skills or talents. Its something which we need to feel through involving ourselves.

The Success of Students Union at PSG Tech lies in bridging all departments into one single entity. Its brings a personality transition for a student entering the institution. A First Year Guy needs to be inspired and should become a volunteer. Everything will be a Learning Experience. Everyone has to take their jobs. Define their roles. No one can be neglected if they have a voluntary and committed involvement towards this entity.Those people get transformed into leaders.

SU brings a unique feel into each and every student. The people in Power should be a Role Model to their next batch as well as to the upcoming batches. It should nt be a platform to express the power of an individual department. Ofcourse politics are unavoidable in any Management. Particularly SU @ PSG Tech has got a variety of Politics ranging from the initial segmentation based on colors.

Despite all problems all students should own the Students Union and represent as individuals and not as a representative of a particular department. If at all its department centric means its a mistake of that particular final year batch as a whole. There is nothing in this world which can't be resolved. So at the initial period itself all issues need to be sorted out to run a successful year.

All Students should have an expectation on the SU.. Whether SU will do this, that etc. , Every Final year who is a part of the core team should have an vision in their mind. We should be a good listening contributor. Believe me .. We can't get any other place other than SU @ PSG Tech to learn Team Dynamics and many Management principles.. In Later part of our Life we may be able to appreciate it.

Its a good learning place for everyone in PSG Tech. It can tell you what is Team Building.. Co-ordination.. What is Planning ?? What is lost in the phase of Planning and execution ? and still many more questions will be answered

It can organize anything and everything for the students..

It can organize Festivals of many levels at many levels of magnitude..

It can build the reputation of the institution to higher altitudes..

SU is not a closed entity .. Its not a political body .. Its not a body owned by a particular set of people .. It can't be a body owned by any department.. SU is a feeling.. Please Experience it.. Please Don't miss it.Then you will feel a lot in your later part of Life..

SU is the Hero of PSG Tech !!

Hope to make this Blog as Serious as I can.I m trying to make a good one.Lets see.Its almost round the clock @ my PG in Bangalore.. But still I feel HR Blog is more important

HR- Human Resource .. Human Relationship ... In what ever way you mean it !! I m writing this blog from a Human Relationship maintenance perspective.. I hope i m privileged to write such a serious blog through my own experiences...

Human Relationship maintenance is very important.. It May be school , college , family or Corporate Life etc., The unique characteristic of all human beings is that Everyone thinks differently.. Interprets differently.. Ofcourse from Day to day.. Time to time it changes.. God hasn't given a Probability Distribution for the Nature of Human thinking at a particular time though it is highly a Random one...

We may be an Introvert or Extrovert,Social or Normal. One thing which all of us cant avoid is Misunderstanding. Misunderstanding is the biggest Enemy of one's soul.. Just think for a while.. Is there something in this world which someone can't forgive... It may be an argument or decision making or what ever it may be..

EG0 =>> "Elephant Goes Orange"

If an "Elephant Goes Orange" means obviously other elephants will look at it at a different sight... There is EGO for everyone of us.. But we should never ever allow that component to dominate our decisions.. Because human relationships once spoiled can't be retrieved completely ..

Take it from me. Always we should be a good Listener.. Hope the previous statement can't be disproved.. But we should not get confused Simply by consulting more ppl and complicating things of its own... If someone misunderstands us means lets not try to "Over Justify" ourselves.. There is no need for us to prove to someone Whom We Are. TIME WILL SLOWLY ANSWER IT !!

The Golden Rule we should follow is that "No human is useless"... We can make a small network through them which may result in very large prospects for us at some point of time in life.. Everyone is uniquely talented with their own creativity and skills.. Everyone is uniquely gifted with something by God.. We should try to accept that First.

There can be no issue in this world which may not be sorted out "IF DISCUSSED PROPERLY AND FRANKLY".. Frankness is a " very essential " thing at a smarter use... I m writing this blog in a very neutral and clear mind with my own experiences... :-)

If it was a little vague please kindly bare with me... The Topic of the Post is not that easy that it can be explained in a single post :-)

But never ever ignore someone because of Misunderstandings.. Please try to avoid Misunderstandings arising out of EGO or some other small issues...

Echhhhhh ArrrRRRR is one of the toughest thing in Life... That is one of the reasons why Many people still find it difficult even to pronounce it even !!!!

THE MEXICAN WAVE @ Chepauk Stadium

Hmmm.... :-) Mexican Wave .. Whats it... ??? Any Guess...??

Is it a tidal wave... Or something Crazy... Funny... ?? Nothin of that sort...(Hyp to ppl who dont know that)

I suddenly taught we should see Chennai Super Kings winning @ home ground in IPL after a series of loses in IPL.. So one fine day morning started from home by 5'o Clock (Don't think I got up so early and al Did n sleep itself.. Some hidden reason behind it.. :-) .. )

Went to Trichy Junction.. Incidentally there were some seats available in Pallavan express.. Got one Hindu and Business Line and went into train.. Pantry car Effectla i could n find out how i reached various stations between various dishes.. Got down @ West Mambalam Station. Ringed Kalasu(Prasanna Gundan).. He was in driving Class So went into Saravana stores to get a good Slipper. (Ha ha.. :-).. )

Atlast Gundan came and we went to Data Udupi Hotel near Ashok Pillar.. Went to Maran Enclave.. Gundan's home.. In between my gethu mobile 1112 was having sum prob due to pantry car water.. Then we started to CPCL to get RENAISSANCE cheque ... Then went to Chepauk Stadium to Get D Stand Tickets...

Mouli was lucky enough to get tickets for the Next Day match @ Chepauk.. Got scoldings from Gundan and went for some Formal Local visits @ Chennai.. Gundan cautioned that he won't pick me up in his Gethu Bike If i don cum bak in time..

Incidentally Mouli was punctually waiting @ Church Park Signal for Gundan for
30 minutes.. Then Gundan came and we entered Stadium Premises by 6 pm itself... IPL matchku Traffic Regulations.. Parking etc.. Police asusual puttin ...... Lots of efforts....!!!

After some confusions finally got into stadium D Stand... It could accommodate as many 3000 ppl If i am right i meant D Stand alone... Players were practicing ... We were lucky to be seated near the Commentory box and Set Max Studio.. Kris Srikanth was putting make up to appear before the Set Max Studio.. We waved hand at him..

Waited for about an hour when Ravi Shasthri entered into pitch for the toss..Unfortunately Chennai Lost the toss and but to bat first.. Asusual initially our players put Lots of Gajji Innings.. Kings XI were putting there best efforts.. Yuvraj Singh was putting lots of Scene... It took me some time to know some of the new faces in Kings XI which I m ignorant to...

Suddenly when the Chennai was not in a good rapo some pause was created in Audience enthu... From B Stand some set of ppl started waving their hand with some unique sound and action synchro... D Stand did nt pick it up by that time... Then again B stand did the same.... !!!! Then D Special had also picked the same...

After some repeated efforts by B,D,D-Special,E,G... The Sound passed through Pavilion and back to B Stand... It was a totally different experience... Only ppl who had experienced can appreciate the Synchro of the Entire Crowd in creating an Enthu over There... Suddenly Gundan Told this is Called MEXICAN WAVE !!!!

Badrinath and Dhoni Played well .... Atlast Chennai Super kings finished off with a 170+ total... We managed with some CCD Burger plus Lays and stuffs for the 10 mins break.. For the small Intreval Extra Innings Kris Srikanth started puttting makeup by 15th Over of CSK Innings itself... Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen...

Kings XI started their innings.. Some early wicket falls.. One thing was pity on their side was the audience did nt consider them as a home country team and cheer them for their Boundaries.. As ususal Marsh Played well for a Long time...

Black King Lakshmipathy Balaji was standing near the D-Stand Boundary for a long time... We did nt care for him.. Sivamani was enchanthing and making the crowd very much engaged throughout the match.. It seemed like Chennai was having a poor Over Rate..

Some Important Calls came to Mouli...... from his Frnd to hear the Sound of the Crowd.. I did nt expect such a taste from that person.. I mean Hearing the Sound of Audience through Cell One Nw... Really Gr8888.....

Suddenly Last over was given to Balaji

Kings XI tail enders got into pressure and played unusual shots and got caught by the CSK Fielders... Here Comes the KINGS XI made hero of CSK... Shock of the day 4 everyone.. Balaji took First Hattrick of IPL...

CSK Won

Here starts the main thing... I was about to st to Trichy back that Night <9th> .

Gundan and me roamed in his Kinetic Honda around Chennai... We went to many interesting places around T-Nagar.. Saw how the actual Panagal Park would be.. Seriously one could nt say if it is so if they assume it as it looks in the day time.. We went Chant N Corner and had sum stuff... Gundan 's fav place... then we roamed and finally went to CMBT..

Here comes the end of the story... No bus @ CMBT.. Finally got into a Madurai bus .... Reached Trichy by 9hrs....

The MEXICAN WAVE was really grrrrrr888888888888 !!!!

Wonderful Exp.. Credits to Gundan for giving an excellant company!!!

Hi ppl... I was wondering whether I can wr8 a blog... But atlast I was forced 2 wr8 a series of blogs and the first of all those is this one...

Is it from a church??? or Home?? or from a very Dark Place??

No.. These are the candles thrown off after MUSTAFA SONG AT MA FAREWELL..

Though the candles are burnt out they still contain the thumb impressions of a variety of talented hearts called "BAXTRONITZ"

It was on Aug 30th 2004 when BXZ was implanted into PSG Tech..

A variety of ppl.. Lots of characters.. Amazing personalities with different Talents ranging from Sports,Extra Currics,Ofcourse Academics....

Farewell has always been a sad moment for everyone.. I ve moved with almost everyone of BXZ and shared the successful moments with them.Though College Life is Limited to 4 Years.. The Times we had been happy or sad will be everlasting...!!!

Those candles still contain the happiness that we have shared.. Tats wy the are thrown off.. Wat if they are burnt fully.. Just Imagine.. The wax would ve melt.. So only we have left the wax safe..

Friends Time is always changing.. Though we are forced to leave college everyone of us will be having an everlasting meaning for certain things..

This environment called PSG Tech has thought us many things.. It has made us to realize
Whom we are??
What we are???
Positives??
Negatives???
etc.....

Hereafter there will be no one running after us for simple things like

How to speak in GD??
How to attend an Interview??
Resume print outs...!!
Some1 standing 4 us in all our moments..
etc..,

We are entering into a very competitive world... Days are going on fast...

Lets strengthen ourselves on the positives and forget about the negatives.. The Future has to recogonize us as successful individuals from the entity BXZ ..

Lets march towards that....

Lets not think about the Burnt Out Candles !!!!

They are containing the Happy Moments .... So they are Still Burning with those touching verses of MUSTAFA MUSTAFA Song:-)
